Latest Research - Preventing Hair Loss Can Save Your Life

A new research study supports my findings that hair loss is an early predictor of future Prostate Cancer and that preventing hair loss can prevent prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), which in turn reduces the incidence of prostate cancer by 30%!

stop hair loss, prevent prostate cancer, regrow my hair

If you have read my previous articles you would know that I spent many years researching the genetic cause of hair loss before developing the Stop and reGrow solution. It was during this research I discovered the underlying cause for androgenetic alopecia - an inheritable coding on one of our genes for producing an overactive 5 alpha reductase enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone).

As we know it is the DHT which binds to our hair follicles in hereditary patterns and essentially strangles our hair gradually to death. Men generally start to see the effects of higher than normal DHT levels on their hair starting in their 20’s and 30’s. Other bi-products of higher than normal DHT are enlarged prostate in our 40’s and 50’s which leads to prostate cancer in our 60’s and 70’s.

While DHT is vey useful during puberty in helping us gain our manly characteristics, once we have reached maturity too much of it is a bad thing. Women don't need any DHT post puberty.

In order to prevent hair loss (rather than just treat the symptoms) an important part of the Stop and reGrow treatment is reducing the level of DHT in your system back to normal levels. How do we do that you ask? DHT is simply Testosterone with 2 extra hydrogen molecules attached. The molecular formula of Testosterone is C19H28O2. The formula for DHT is C19H30O2. Notice the H30 in DHT vs H28 in testosterone. That is the only difference. So what our proprietary Stop and reGrow formula does is knock those extra 2 hydrogen molecules off the testosterone and put them back into our system where they can combine with oxygen and join the 70% of us which is water/H2O. We also then add a proprietary hair growth stimulant to speed up the regrowth process and we are on our way to a hair full future.

And how much does this reduce our risk of cancer? Well the National Cancer Institute recently ran the largest clinical study on this topic with 18,882 participants and conclusively found that treatment by reducing DHT levels reduced risk of developing prostate cancer by 30%, which is HUGE.

A study back in 2013 found that 50% of men over 60 will get prostate cancer. Whilst we now are generally able to catch and treat it so that the risk of death is pretty low, the side effects from the cancer treatment are not something we would want to choose, including incontinence and sexual dysfunction.

The latest study published on the topic (Sept 2016) validates what I have seen in my practice - that hair loss is indeed a precursor or indicator of future BPH (Benign prostatic hyperplasia) which leads to prostate cancer. You can read the published study in the Journal of International Trichology here: An observational Study of the Association between Androgenetic Alopecia and Size of the Prostate

So the moral of this article is that if we are one of the 50% of men who have this hereditary anomaly (I am), then at some point in time you are going to have to reduce the level of DHT in your system either to prevent - or if you leave it too late – to treat your enlarged prostate or prostate cancer. Rather than wait until you have already lost your hair, why not start by preventing both your hair loss and reduce your risk of developing prostate cancer early by 30% or more?

This indispensable component, prominently featured in Dr. Nettles' formula, has garnered attention for fostering robust and vibrant hair growth. Let us delve deeper to understand how lysine is revolutionizing hair care: Collagen Production Collagen, fostered substantially by lysine, is pivotal in safeguarding hair’s strength and structure, thereby reducing the susceptibility to damage and breakage. Iron Absorption Lysine facilitates the optimal absorption of iron, a mineral vital for hair growth, averting hair loss linked to iron deficiency. Witness the Transformation: Lysine Hair Before and After Embarking on a hair care routine supplemented with lysine can potentially enhance the health and appearance of your hair. However, it is pivotal to note that while lysine can foster healthier hair growth, particularly if you have been deficient, it is not a direct treatment for the underlying causes of hair loss. Individuals have reported positive changes in their "lysine hair before and after" experiences, observing improvements such as: • Augmented hair thickness and volume • Enriched hair texture and luminosity • Fortified resistance against damage and breakage These transformations are an adjunct benefit of addressing the primary causes of hair loss through a comprehensive treatment strategy like that offered by Stop and Regrow, where lysine plays a supporting role in encouraging healthy regrowth after the root causes of hair loss have been identified and addressed. Incorporating Lysine in Your Hair Care Routine Wondering how to seamlessly infuse lysine in your daily routine? Here’s how: Diet Initiate by integrating lysine-rich foods such as lean meats, fish, dairy products, and legumes into your diet, nourishing your body with the requisite lysine. Supplements For a consistent lysine intake, especially if dietary sources prove insufficient, consider Dr. Nettles' holistic hair health and growth formula that accommodates lysine, facilitating an easy-to-follow hair care regimen. Lysine Apart from being a fundamental building block for proteins constituting hair, lysine accelerates new cell growth, attenuates cortisol stress reactions that can inhibit healthy hair growth, and offers anti-inflammatory benefits coupled with enhanced immune responses. Methionine Methionine not only aids hair growth but also facilitates protein synthesis from consumed food, contributing to normal cellular and DNA functions, and reducing chronic disease vulnerability. How to Block DHT Molecules and Things That Block DHT
01 Aug, 2023
The battle against hair loss often zeroes in on a hormone called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Frequent queries like "How to Block DHT Molecules" and "Things That Block DHT" underline a widespread belief that simply blocking DHT is a magic bullet for hair loss. However, a fundamental understanding of biochemistry and physics challenges this concept, reminding us that nothing in the universe, including DHT, simply disappears or is blocked without consequences.
